Elegant and Dark Winter Wedding at Ottawa AllSaints Event Space

December 5, 2019

I had the immense pleasure to capture Megan & Adrian’s winter wedding back in December.

Two word: ELEGANT & MOODY!

About the bride – An Ottawa Wedding Photographer

I met Megan through Kortni, a wedding photographer based in the Adirondacks, NY. We all came down to NY to network with a bunch of talented wedding photographers and be part of a creative workshop organized by Kortni herself. I remember being totally freaked out about ticks that day and Megan told me NOT to freak out (#Hypocondriac !). From that day, I came back more motivated than ever for my little company to grow and with a camera full of amazing images.

Little did I know, a while after, Megan would contact me for her own wedding photography in Ottawa.

#Badass Bride

As she describes herself, Megan is a “Harley owner. Californian at heart” and she loves “vintage motorcycles and good thrifted high waisted denim”. That was only natural that she would organize a wedding to her image: lots of black and moody accents! It was an overall fun day, very relaxed and Megan wore a beautiful customized leather jacket with Doc Marteens

Historic Ottawa Wedding Venues

After a wonderful ceremony at the Knox Presbyterian Church, Megan and Adrian had a beautiful evening planned at the AllSaints Event Space in Ottawa, a former Anglican Church repurposed into a space for weddings and events. I was truly impressed by the beautiful architecture and all the historic details still inside. Don’t get me going about the beam and the overall elegance of the wood!

For the couple session, we stopped at the Fairmont Chateau Laurier in Ottawa so we could check in for the night (not us, the newlyweds couple!), and we enjoyed walking around. Each corner is pretty and filled with beautiful decor and furniture so we had to take advantage of it! The then headed (or let’s say ‘trespassed’) to the huge terrasse that offers un unbeaten view of the Parliament. Imagine, a cold snowy day, an emptied terrasse and a historical monument in the back. Apart from us being all frozen, I can testify we all had a blast!

Moody Winter Wedding in Ottawa

Being a wedding photographer herself, Megan had planned an ARMY of amazing vendors to be part of her day and it was such an amazing honour to be part of it! The moody winter theme was truly incredible and I will invite you to scroll the images down below and see for yourself how talented this Ottawa wedding vendors are 🙂

Congratulations Megan & Adrian!
